I Want To Be Happy
During his Mayapur Retreat, Nataraj offered Satsang to his group of participants. He was asked to speak about desire. "Do I know what I want?" Ultimately, Nataraj shares, the want of wants of every individual is to be happy.
Nataraj explores the nature of desire, karma, and self-inquiry, guiding seekers to examine whether their wants truly bring fulfillment or simply perpetuate cycles of craving and suffering. He explains how attachment to external desires creates frustration, how the law of diminishing returns applies to material and emotional pursuits, and how turning toward the Divine leads to lasting contentment. Through wisdom from the yogic and bhakti traditions, he emphasizes the power of spiritual practice—including mantra, devotion, and self-reflection—as tools for transcending conditioned wants and realizing inner stillness. He reminds seekers that freedom is always within reach, as long as one sincerely turns toward it.
