Living in today's fast-paced world, daily stresses and anxieties can easily obscure our innate sense of peace. Yet beneath this surface noise lies an untouched, pristine stillness—an unending peace residing in the quiet sanctuary of the heart. While we may glimpse this quietude in nature or quiet moments, the stillness itself never moves; only our awareness shifts away from it.
The great mystics and traditions throughout time have laid down clear pathways to help us reconnect with this quiet center. Peter Nataraj invites you to step out of the noise and enter this sacred container—a space in the heart of the Umbrian countryside dedicated to resting in the Spirit of Silence.
Peter Nataraj
The Teacher
Peter Nataraj guides self-inquiry rooted in the tradition of Advaita Bhakti—the gentle convergence of nondual wisdom and devotional heart. Having stepped into teaching four years ago, Nataraj curates an intimate, unhurried space for deep inquiry and direct realization.
His teaching emphasizes an honest, grounded path to Advaita, drawing interfaith inspiration from perennial teachers and mystics—including Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Anandamayi Ma, Swami Sivananda, Swami Satchidananda, Papaji, and his teacher Moojibaba, as well as the living truths of Buddha, Jesus, Krishna, and Shiva.
Resting in the spirit of Sangha, Nataraj welcomes all seekers to “come as you are”. Having offered retreats in India, Guatemala, USA and Trinidad and Tobago, this gathering at Casa Sangam marks his first European retreat — a sacred milestone for a close-knit group of dedicated seekers.
In Nataraj’s words: "This is a most precious time for our sangha, this sweet group of deeply sincere seekers."
The Spirit of Silence retreat is carefully designed to explore the balance of Satsang, Sangha, Silence and Solitude. You will find your own perfect rhythm and balance within the spacious container of Casa Sangam.

A Note on Sacred Exchange:
Nataraj Sangha offers these retreats at cost (i.e. no profit) to remove financial barriers for sincere seekers. Registration is offered on a sliding scale based on the level of Dakshina (teacher offering) that you wish to provide. Please select the tier that best aligns with your financial means.
Dakshina:
In keeping with ancient spiritual tradition, these teachings are offered freely as a gift, and Teachers rely entirely on Dakshina (the voluntary generosity of students) to sustain their ongoing life and work. This ancient model invites a beautiful shift in perspective: it transforms financial support into a conscious spiritual practice of gratitude and mutual trust. For convenience, registration levels at checkout feature built-in voluntary Dakshina tiers ($0, $250, or $500) to allow participants to support Nataraj and his life mission directly.
